African Landscape Pictures Early Morning

African Landscape pictures from Southern Africa

For my morning African landscape pictures, I need to get up at 4-4:30 am. This is the time to capture beautiful African sunrise photographs. That is not quite everybody’s cup of tea. Once done, it is not that hard to get into gear. Climbing mountains, walk through fields, or sit in a vehicle since you are not allowed to get out of the car in a game park. Dangerous animals could attack you! While watching the African sunrise light making its way to the horizon. Also, the fog on the ground whirling blown by the wind certainly makes a highlight for the eyes.

Below you see the African landscape photograph of the Skeleton Coast in Namibia. Yes, the alarm was ringing very early; I guess I woke up the whole campsite. That wasn’t too bad as we were only two parties in this far off the regular route campsite, a couple from South Africa on their yearly four-week trip through Southern Africa and the famous EAG group (3 dear friends of mine) traveling with me. I looked out of the tent to see if there was anything worth getting up for. Yes, the new upcoming African sunrise looked promising. The first red sunlight peaked through the hills. Lots of fog between the hills and above the mountains. Since we were not too far from the Atlantic ocean, the fog usually comes inland during the night. I grabbed my tripod with my two favorite lenses for these African landscape pictures at sunrise.Three minutes later, I was standing in a field across the campsite. The fog was crawling around me, which was awesome. Sometimes I had a view of the mountains, and sometimes I was embraced by fog. No scary or hungry animals around!

Over time I took quite a lot African landscape pictures

When you travel to Africa, you start to appreciate going to bed early and getting up early to see the new day. Undoubtedly, the amazing African sunrise, with its beautiful colors will bring a smile to your face. What will The Natural World present me today? How does the African Landscape react with its beautiful colors and moods! How do the animals welcome the new day! Well, for some African wildlife, it most likely means, yeah, I made it into a new day. Not eaten by a predator nor poached for some stupid reasons! The Lonely Tree, the famous Acacia tree in Etosha Park.

This photograph of the Camelthorn tree is one of the most taken African Landscape photographs in the Etosha National Park. African Fine Art Landscape Photographs are for sale as photo prints or license.

Natural Salt Pan and Lonely Tree

Maybe there are some animals under the tree or walking on the salt pan. When I have been in the park again, I noticed early mornings the soft pink color above the salt pan. My thoughts, this light, and some exquisite animals must look awesome. While I passed this tree a few times, always immediately it jumped in my head; this scenery, pink sky above the natural salt pan, this must be a beautiful scene.Undoubtedly, my plan was set. The next morning was reserved for the famous tree with the African sunrise. Yes, next morning booked, as usual, everything comes different! Easily said, and hard to accomplish. You start your journey; leave the campsite, and what crosses your way? Four Cheetahs, I cannot drive along to a tree, which stands there and does not move. Cheetahs move! I stayed with the big African cats, the Cheetahs. Not that I forgot the famous Lonely tree, no, not at all. It was just, on the way were Cheetahs! Indeed, I had to stop for the wild animals. That Acacia tree got then every morning reserved, but when a fascinating animal comes between, the African landscape pictures of a lonely tree needed to be postponed. Of course, it took me a few days to accomplish this Lonely tree photograph. One morning while driving along the road, a celebrating Springbok came in between. Really, who can pass a happy Springbok jumping high into the air? Not me. Can you?

Dead acacia trees stand on the white clay pan in Sossusvlei. That place is called Dead Vlei. This photograph was taken very early in the morning before the first light of the sunrise touched the clay pan.
