Greenland Nature and Landscape Photography Tour / Workshop 2016
Join Landscape & Nature Photographer Johan Peijnenburg and Landscape & Wildlife Photographer Anette Mossbacher on this Arctic adventure in September 2016; 24 Sept. – 02 Oct. The Greenland Nature and Landscape Photography Tour / Workshop will be based on the west coast at Ilullisat Icefjord. This UNESCO World heritage site is 250km north of the Arctic Circle. One of the Photographic highlights is Jakobshavn Glacier (Sermeq Kujalleq) it is one of the few glaciers, which reaches the sea. It annually calves over 35km3 of ice. The combination of this huge ice-sheet and the dramatic sounds of a fast-moving glacial ice-stream calving into a fjord covered by unique icebergs makes for a dramatic and awe-inspiring phenomenon. Greenland’s unpolluted air and clear night skies make for wonderful opportunities to witness and photograph the amazing Aurora Borealis.
