The colorful beach huts of Muizenberg are an iconic part of this area in South Africa. These quirky houses are a popular backdrop for lots of social media users, bloggers, and even tv commercials. As you can see in the photograph, every side of the huts has a different beautiful color. The sides facing the water have little stairs leading down onto the sand.
Far in the background to the left-hand side is some grass on a small dune. As well as a few small whips clouds. These beautiful and colorful beach huts are vibrant and super photogenic – these colorful beach huts are a must-see when in Muizenberg.
Beach huts we also know as beach boxes, bathing boxes, and sometimes have even the noble name ‘beach house.’ In Muizenberg, you will find two rows of beach huts along the beach. Firstly, their beach is about 20km / 12mi, enough space to place them.
Secondly, they are an essential part of Muizenberg’s heritage, not to forget the iconic part of the Cape of Good Hope landscape. Thirdly, we know that long beach is one of the best surfing beaches to learn surfing. It has consistent waves all year round. But these days, what makes these beach huts the most attractive, is the Instagram selfies.
People from all over come to that beach to take a selfie with the beach huts in the background. When you get there, make sure not to forget your phone for your selfie to send home. No, I do not say Instagram, with a smile on my face.
