That colossal iceberg in black and white clearly shows the stark contrast between the light ice and the dark sea and sky. The reflection in the water of the iceberg also gives the illusion of an even bigger iceberg. An unusual abstract shape has been created through nature.

Enormous icebergs break off from larger pieces of ice like glaciers or ice shelves. This iceberg broke off from the Jacobshavn Glacier. An iceberg can float in the sea for many years before it has completely melted. Since the sinking of the Titanic ship in 1912, people discovered just how dangerous icebergs could be. Due to the fact that only 10% of the icebergs are above water. Therefore, giving the illusion that it is smaller than what it is. Since the awful sinking of the Titanic, the International Ice Patrol exists to help ships avoid the small and enormous icebergs.

As you can see from this photograph, icebergs come in different odd shapes and sizes. Therefore, making it extremely difficult for ships and boats to navigate around them because they do not know how massive the iceberg is underwater.
