Elephant Tusks In Black And White

The African Elephant black and white bull portrait is not only a fine art photograph but a raw story. According to TRAFFIC, Angola and Mozambique have the most significant illegal trades in elephant ivory in Southern Africa. Their tusks are both a blessing and a curse. It is a blessing because they give the elephant a real sense of majesty and a curse due to man’s selfish gain.

That has led to the senseless slaughter of elephants. Tusks have been used to make billiard balls, piano keys, and many other items for human enjoyment. The death of an animal for a small decoration in their homes. Asian countries still believe that ivory is medicine. However, no scientific proof is available for this claim.

African elephants, Loxodonta africana, are listed in the category vulnerable of the IUCN list.
