Tourists Climb Dune In Namibia

Because of its distance from the Sesriem Gate, it is named Dune 45. Its location is 45 km from the gate, along a paved road. Indeed it is the most climbed and photographed orange dune in the world. Therefore, you will often find tourists climbing or taking photographs of it. Undoubtedly the sand is vibrant orange against the bold blue sky. Of course, it reflects the heat of the day.

Formed by sand, which the wind blew inland from the coast. The sand is over 5 million years old, and it gets its reddish color from its iron oxide content. Interestingly, the colors of the orange dune change according to the lighting of the day. That makes it a fascinating subject matter for photographers at all times. The wind in Sossusvlei blows from all directions. Therefore, we know the dunes as “star dunes.”  Due to the sand forming a star shape with multiple arms.

Dune #45 is accessible to tourists to climb. Indeed the best time to climb it is before the sun comes up so you can see the sunrise once you are at the top. It is 85 meters high, and the climb is absolut worth it. When at the top, you will be able to see a panoramic view of Dune Valley.

Excellent capture of dramatic shadow and light, plus the people climbing really highlight how large and tall that dune is.

Indeed, as well as the tourists follow the leading line of this red dune, Big Daddy. Thanks so much.
