Two zebras have an intimate moment together in this fine art black and white photograph. Two friends, the left zebra has its head resting on the friend’s back, while the other gives an intimate look. Very classy! Both zebras stand very close together to have this intimate moment with each other. Zebras are very social animals. And yes, they do have friends, as we humans do.
Zebras eat mostly grass and will walk up to 2900 kilometers / 1800 miles in search of it. Does a predator chases a zebra, they run in a zig-zag pattern, which makes it difficult for the predator to catch them. If faced with predators, they will form a semi-circle and bite at their attacker. They will also encircle an injured family member if it needs protection against a predator. Another tactic they use against predators is to bunch together, which confuses lions as they think they are grass.
Every zebra has unique stripes, meaning no two zebras are the same. No two humans have the same fingerprint. The black and white patterns also deter flies and other insects.
