View my portfolio of Asian elephant photographs. It is the largest terrestrial animal in Asia, with the largest brain of land mammals. It is, therefore, seen as the most intelligent animal worldwide. Through their behaviors, they show high intelligence. Compared with the African elephant, they have smaller, rounded ears. The trunk, actually the nose, exists of about 100,000 muscles. That is used for breathing, trumpeting, smelling, and grabbings things with the fingerlike feature. Indeed an elephant loves a shower. It sucks water in its trunk and sprays it over its body.
