Thinking of snakes, lizards and crocodiles certainly make some people shiver, but they are fascinating amphibians and reptiles.
Both of these fabulous creatures are cold-blooded vertebrates. They hatch from eggs. However, amphibians are born underwater, while crocodiles, turtles are born on the ground. Amphibians have gills to breathe underwater but can also live on the land. Both types cannot maintain body temperatures. Subsequently, they rely on the sun upon, to stay warm. Accordingly, we have fabulous amphibian and reptile photographs of these exotic creatures soaking up the sun. They relax in their natural habitat.
I capture photographs of Sidewinder Adders from Namibia to giant Monitor Lizards from Asia. Indeed, catching your eye are photographs of green sea turtles and lizards. For a heart-warming scene, how about a photograph of a hefty hippo giving shelter to a little crocodile? For another fantastic sight, massive sea turtles choose a sandy beach to lay their eggs. Sadly, this is an endangered species. They are affected by commercial fishing and climate change.
Photographs of amphibians and reptiles are great for nature-themed events. They are ideal for classrooms and are also fun to hang in children's playrooms. Choose geckos and tortoises! Mix and match amphibian and reptile photographs with other themes. I also have primates, predators, and birds. In short, there is something for everyone. Do you have a question?
