This profile photo shows the beautiful Bengal Tiger eye close-up. Explore the incredible details in his eye with the beautiful fur pattern on his face. When this majestic tiger passed our vehicle, I took a close-up photo of the eyes of the tiger. Bengal tigers are the largest animals in the big cat family globally.

However, African lions come close to the size of tigers. Because of poaching and habitat decline, these wild animals are indeed an endangered species.

Close Up Of A Bengal Tiger Eye

Bengal tiger eyes have a binocular vision to judge the distance from their prey. During the day, they can see nearly as much as humans. That is quite impressive compared to other animals. It is also unnecessary for their purpose. To see three-dimensional perception and depth perception is the primary function. Tigers mainly hunt during the night because of their excellent night vision.

They see about six times better than humans at night. As you see in this photograph, the round pupil allows a maximum of light to enter the eye at night. During the day, they as well see colors. Not entirely as we humans do, but enough.

Bengal tigers, Panthera tigris, are on the IUCN list as endangered species.
