While I was capturing this photograph, the colossal walruses swimming in the Arctic Ocean would swim right up the zodiac. Walruses are very curious. They like to investigate and see who we are. We have to maneuver away from them to keep a bit of distance between them and us.

Walrusses And Their Tusks

The tusks of a walrus can grow up to a meter long and can even weigh around 5 kilogram / 11 pounds in colossal bulls. Although they are generally brown, they can look white after diving in the freezing sea. They even look pink when they are warm. Because of the varying blood supply to the perimeter of the body under different circumstances.

As they are incredibly social animals, they congregate in tight groups when on land enjoying the sunset or sunrise. Or on ice and usually travel at sea in groups as well. There is enormous sexual segregation outside the breeding season. During this period, you will see solitary walruses swimming or on ice; these are usually adult males. The walrus pups are born weighing 85 kilograms / 187 pounds.
The walrus is a species considered vulnerable on the IUCN list.
