After a little while, they surrounded my vehicle. They were peacefully feeding on the lush grass of the open African Savannah. Of course, there is always an interaction between the zebras. They socialize intensely with each other, especially with their friends. Yes, zebras have friendships, as we humans do.
The Burchell Zebra Latin name is Equus quagga. According to National Geographic, it is in the category of near threatened.

Very beautiful photo that stands out to me for the strong composition that accentuates and puts in contrast lines (zebra stripes) and curves (contours of their mane and bodies). I also like the inclusion of light on the zebra’s body towards the left bottom corner – the line between light and shadow in this spot beautifully completes curve of that zebra’s mane, making that curve run all the way to the edge of the frame whilst the light triangle also creates a transition and separation from the zebra in the background.
