The impressive Petronas Twin Towers at sunset stand rigid and robust to the softness of the clouds and light on the top left. The tropical storm is coming in from the right-hand side and bringing a looming presence along with it. That scene has a lot of color contrast. Still, overall, it creates an astonishing moment with the tropical storm and the Petronas Twin Towers at sunset.
Petronas Twin Towers At Sunset
These iconic towers of Malaysia are amongst the most impressive skyscrapers in the world. The building of these two towers began on 1 April 1994. They had six years to complete.
Through a strict government and two different construction teams, the building was ready within 6 years. As a result of this intense deadline, they had to construct an entire floor of the building in just four days. The total cost of the building was 1.6 billion US dollars.
The sky bridge that links the two towers together is 170 meters above the ground and connects the two towers. That is the highest two-story bridge on the planet. The glass facade of the building is a design to imitate Islamic motifs, which is part of the Malaysian culture.
Furthermore, the towers were the tallest buildings in the world. However, in 2004 the Taipei 101 in Taiwan exceeded its height. Since then, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai surpassed even that.
