Japan Photography Adventure for Nature and Wildlife
Japan Photography Adventure starts Feb. 18th – March 1st 2017. This Photo Adventure is hosted by Ade Photography with Guest Photographer Anette Mossbacher
The Winter Nature and Wildlife Photography Adventure in Japan is tailored for a small group with max. of 8 guests with 2 expert photographic instructors; Ade, Professional Photographer and myself. Small groups are more flexible on photographic tours. We all know, something gets our interest and we want to stay longer. With a small group we can spend as much time as we require.
Come along with us to witness the amazing Nature and Wildlife in Japan. We provide on site guidance for you to improve your photographic skills. You will have access to the expertise of two Professional Photographers.
What will you see?
Red Fox sneaking up on a White Tailed Eagle
See the snow monkeys taking their hot bath in the geo thermal pools in Nagano. Capture their facial expression or the youngsters playing in the snow.
The majestic Red-Crowned Cranes showing their wedding dances on snow. Their audience should not be forgotten, the red fox, taking sometimes a closer look!
Whooper Swans, flying in from their night quarters to land in little ice free gaps of lake Kussharo. These ice gaps are open due hot spring water entering the lake. The hot water provides a beautiful mist surrounding the Whooper Swans. A wonderful opportunity to capture moody photographs of Whopper Swans.

Steller’s Eagles and White Tailed Eagles, the acrobats in air. The masters of flight diving and catching the fish from the water.

More details about the Japan Photography Adventure 2017
Arrival Day: We will meet in the evening at the airport hotel. Please make your own way to the hotel. The hotel room is included in your photo tour price.
Day 1: Early wake up call. After breakfast we drive with our private bus to Nagano, to the snow monkeys.
Day 2: You will have the full day to capture the snow monkeys taking their bath, playing in the snow or climbing in trees and between the mountains. In the evening we return to Tokyo to the Haneda airport.
Day 3: Early wake up call and domestic flight to Kushiro / Hokkaido. With our comfortable private bus we will drive to Akan to photograph the Red-Crowned Cranes. We might be lucky again to see a red fox trying to steal the lunch off a White Tailed eagle or having it’s stroll between the cranes. We will spend around Akan and Kushiro two days.
Day 4 & 5: You will have two full days capturing the Red-Crowned Cranes, with luck the red fox trying it’s tricks. Frequent visitors are also Steller’s Eagles, White Tailed Eagles and sometimes even the Black Kites. In the evening we will make our way to the Whooper Swans at lake Kussharo. We will photographing the Whooper Swans for the next 2 days.

Day 6: You will have all day to photograph the Whooper Swans at Lake Kussharo. If the weather permits we will be visiting mountains surrounding the lake for some breathtaking scenery.
Day 7: We will spend the morning with the Whooper Swans. At mid morning we will be driving in our private bus to the town Rausu to see the acrobats in air; Steller’s Eagles and White Tailed Eagles.
Day 8, 9 & 10: The next 3 mornings will be early wake up calls. Each morning we are on a boat cruise photographing the Steller’s Eagles and White Tailed Eagles. You get the chance to capture the eagles flight diving and clutching fish in their claws. Fighting Steller’s Eagles or even Steller’s Eagle against a White Tailed Eagle.

Day 11: Backup day for the morning boat cruise, in case we could due the weather not take a boat cruise of the previous days! In the afternoon we will make our way back to the airport. Afternoon domestic flight back to Tokyo / Haneda International Airport. The tour ends in Haneda airport.

Included in your Japan Photography Adventure:
- All accommodation, meals during the tour from day 1 -10. Day 11 breakfast will be included.
- Domestic flights – Tokyo Haneda to Hokkaido and return
- Charter bus for the entire trip. There is ample space for all.
